There are numerous HR indicators to monitor employee satisfaction. It is essential to measure this type of thing to make strategic decisions for the company, ensuring a real competitive edge in the market.
Alymente has separated some indicators for you to keep an eye on and have employees always happy and committed to the mission of the organization. Check them out!
1. NPS: the universal HR indicator for satisfaction
The NPS, or Net Promoter Score, is a globally used standard for measuring satisfaction. It can be applied to different situations, such as with customers and suppliers. However, it can (and should) also be used to measure the overall satisfaction of the company's employees.
It should be applied in a survey format, as in a Google form, and the question should have an answer scale from zero to 10, where zero means unsatisfied and ten, extremely satisfied.
In addition, you can also open, in the same survey, an open response box, so that contributors can explain their response.
2. Turnover Rate
The turnover rate, also known as the turnover index, measures the rate of employees who have resigned within a given period. There is a direct relationship between employee satisfaction and churn, which can also be accompanied by falling productivity and NPS.
3. Absenteeism
The absenteeism factor should also be monitored as one of the most important HR indicators for employee satisfaction. It measures the amount of absences of a company's employees, whether they are for medical reasons or not.
It can be directly linked with employee engagement and productivity as well, and hurts not only the company itself, but also the rest of the co-workers involved.
4. Average time in business
Directly related to churn, the HR indicator of average time in the company indicates, as the name implies, the average time that a given employee spends within the organisation before being disconnected or resigning.
If the time is too low, HR needs to rethink its employee retention strategies. Here, the answer may be related to many situations, such as uncompetitive salary, benefits that are not attractive, failed leadership, among others.
